SIMFEST to screen Iran's ‘The Savior’

Iranian short flick ‘The Savior’ has been set to be screened at the International Film and Television Festival "SIMFEST" in Romania.

The Short Film News website reported that ‘The Savior’ will participate in the event next month.

‘The Savior’, written and directed by Soheila Pour-Mohammadi, tells the story of a girl who has recently witnessed the death of her mother.

The cast members of the film include Mahmoud Taqavi and Setia Asadi.

The SIMFEST is “a film and TV festival – competition, the only one of this kind in Romania and one of the few in Europe”, website of the event reads.

It “stands for professionalism and for the freedom of expression of the journalists and the media producers”.

The festival “promotes, at the same time, local journalism and community mass-media”.

The upcoming edition of the festival will take place on September 13-19.
